The Executive Director of the Shusha City State Reserve Administration, Tural Novruzov, Advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Austria, Farid Valiyev, staff member of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha District, Tural Verdiyev, and officer of the Reserve Administration, Semaya Mammadova, visited Slovenia to participate in the 19th World Conference of the League of Historical Cities (LHC), held on November 13–15 in Ljubljana.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with LHC Secretary General Shibata Shigenori and Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Janković.
Additionally, during the conference, Executive Director of the Shusha City State Reserve Administration, Tural Novruzov, gave a presentation providing information to participants from member countries about the importance of restoring the authentic historical appearance, traditions, and ancient cultural monuments of Shusha. The presentation also emphasized the significance of preserving its historical and cultural heritage. Special attention was drawn to the acts of vandalism committed by Armenians during the period of occupation.
It was noted that large-scale landscaping, construction, and reconstruction works are currently underway in the city. New infrastructure projects are being developed, and international-level events are being organized to present Shusha to the global community.
