Azerbaijan was represented at the 20th International "Cultural Tourism" Exhibition held in Bulgaria.

From October 8 to 10, 2025, the Shusha City State Reserve Department and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria represented the country at the 20th International "Cultural Tourism" Exhibition held in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.

At the exhibition, the Shusha City State Reserve Department showcased photo materials, tourism booklets, and brochures in English reflecting Shusha’s historical and cultural heritage, tourism potential, and natural beauty.

Employees of the Shusha City State Reserve Department provided detailed information to exhibition participants about the restoration and reconstruction works being carried out in Shusha under the direct supervision of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, as well as about the city’s tourist attractions and travel routes available for visitors.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria presented a national stand featuring the country’s cultural tourism treasures, ancient history, traditions, rich culture, and stunning nature. The stand also displayed relevant photographs, national souvenirs and carpets, along with samples of Azerbaijani cuisine.

Additionally, with the support of the Baku Media Center, photographs illustrating Shusha’s historical and cultural elements, its enchanting nature, and rich architectural style were exhibited.

As part of the 20th Cultural Tourism Exhibition, on October 9, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Daniel Panov, the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo. During the meeting, discussions were held on expanding cultural and tourism ties between the sister cities of Shusha and Veliko Tarnovo, organizing reciprocal visits, cultural and tourism events, as well as experience exchange initiatives.

It should be noted that the International "Cultural Tourism" Exhibition, held annually with the participation of the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism, relevant government officials, and representatives of local and international municipalities, is the only specialized exhibition platform in the Balkans in this field and lasted for three days.
