Members of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation met with residents of Shusha.
During his speech at the ceremony dedicated to the sports results of 2024, the President of our country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, noted that regular visits by Azerbaijan’s prominent athletes to the territories liberated from occupation would be a significant event for children and young people. Responding to this call by the head of state, representatives of the sports community visited Shusha at the initiative and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Once again, on December 16, 2025, members of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation traveled to Shusha.
As part of the visit, members of the Wrestling Federation held a meeting with the participation of employees of the Shusha City State Reserve Administration, local residents, and athletes, and took commemorative photos. Our well-known athletes left Shusha with rich and positive impressions after getting acquainted with the city and its residents.
The main purpose of these meetings is to provide moral support to citizens currently living in their native land and to demonstrate the unifying and inspiring power of sport.

A trip to Shusha has been organized for local tourism companies. On December 7, with the support of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA), and the Shusha City State Reserve Department (ŞŞDQİ), a visit to the city of Shusha was organized for 40 local tourism companies.
