On May 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the fourth residential complex to be built in Shusha.

The President and the First Lady were informed about the new residential complex.

It was noted that the project for the fourth residential complex in the city of Shusha envisions the construction of 16 buildings. The total area of the complex is 6.2 hectares. In total, 274 apartments are planned to be built within the complex. The buildings will feature one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-room apartments. Necessary social infrastructure will also be created within the residential complex.

Since Shusha, known as the cradle of Azerbaijani culture, was liberated from occupation on November 8, 2020, large-scale construction and restoration work has been underway. Today, the city is being restored while preserving its historical appearance and cultural heritage, once again welcoming its native residents. So far, 376 families, comprising more than 1,409 former internally displaced persons, have returned to Shusha.

It should be noted that up to now, 23 buildings comprising 450 apartments have been commissioned for residents in Shusha. In the next phase, the implementation of three more projects is planned. Within the framework of public-private partnership, 10 residential complexes are being constructed on the city's main street. These include hotels, office buildings, and other facilities.
