With the support of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha District and the Shusha City State Reserve Administration, the residents of Shusha joyfully and proudly celebrated "November 8 – Victory Day" on their native land for the first time.
The event was attended by Member of the Milli Majlis Polad Bulbuloglu, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha District Aydin Karimov, Executive Director of the Shusha City State Reserve Administration Tural Novruzov, responsible staff of the Special Representative's Office and the Reserve, families of martyrs and veterans, law enforcement leaders, community representatives, and residents of Shusha.
The celebration was held with great enthusiasm at Shusha Secondary School No. 1. An exhibition organized in the "Gullu Bag" showcased the works of Shusha's residents. Participants explored the paintings of Shusha artists Rovshan Bayramov and Zaur Mirzayev with great interest. Handmade crafts by Shusha artisans Laman Tahmezzade, Nigar Abdullayeva, Vasila Alekperova, Turkan Jafarova, and Shahnaz Mammadova added a special charm to the exhibition.
Hotels, restaurants, cafes, and other public establishments operating in the cultural capital of Shusha joined in the residents' joy. The treats offered to guests and locals during the event once again demonstrated the hospitality of the Azerbaijani people.
The performance of the play *"Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastali Shah"* by actors of the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater was met with applause.
The event continued with a concert program presented by artists of the republic and Shusha residents. Performances by Honored Artist of the Republic Metanet Isgandarli, Gunay Imamverdiyeva, Babek Guliyev, Gulay Zeynalli, Anar Shushali, Laman Tahmezzade, Mirgyamza Agayeva, and dance numbers performed by the Honored Collective of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of Azerbaijan named after Fikrat Amirov contributed to the festive mood of Shusha's residents.
At the end of the event, the skies over Shusha lit up with a bright fireworks display.
