The Third Ministerial Meeting on Urban Planning and Climate Change Held Within the Framework of COP 29

On November 20, 2024, within the framework of COP 29, the third ministerial meeting on "Urban Planning and Climate Change" took place. Aydin Karimov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha District, highlighted the importance of the "Declaration on Sustainable and Healthy Cities." He emphasized the preservation of green areas in the liberated territories, particularly in Shusha, and provided information about projects being implemented to meet the demands of new climate challenges, including energy efficiency in buildings and restoration and construction works.

Additionally, within the framework of COP 29, the presentation of the book "Shusha: The Sacred City" in Arabic was held at the ISESCO pavilion. The event was attended by the Director-General of ISESCO, Salim AlMalik, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha District, Aydin Karimov, the Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, and other officials. The publication of this book as part of the "Shusha 2024 – Islamic World Cultural Capital Year" holds significant importance. It not only promotes awareness of Shusha among the multi-million Arabic-speaking audience but also serves as a valuable resource for studying the historical truths about Shusha.
