The "Shusha Days" this time in the brotherly city of Khiva.

From September 11 to 12, the "Shusha Days" were held in the twin city of Khiva, organized by the Shusha State Historical and Architectural Reserve Administration.

As part of the events held during these days, Aydin Karimov, the Special Representative of the President in the Shusha District, met with the Hakim of Khiva, Timur Davletov. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the relationship between the twin cities, the importance of exchanging experiences, and developing cooperation in the fields of science, culture, and creativity. Afterward, they toured the historic district of the city, "Ichan-Kala."

Later, a meeting was held at Urgench State University with Rector Bakhram Abdullaev, attended by Aydin Karimov, Executive Director of the Shusha State Historical and Architectural Reserve Administration, Tural Novruzov, and the Chief Advisor to the Special Representative, Elshad Iskenderov.

At the meeting, they discussed in detail the creation of an Azerbaijani Culture and Literature Center named after the writer and public figure Y.V. Chamanzaminli, who taught at this university from 1938 to 1940. Aydin Karimov also spoke about the extensive works being carried out to improve, build, and restore the historic city of Shusha.

At the end of the meeting, a portrait of Y.V. Chamanzaminli, painted by an artist from Shusha, was presented to the Center, and students performed a small concert program.

The "Shusha Days" events continued in "Ichan-Kala" with a series of interesting activities.

At the photo exhibition titled "Shusha - Yesterday and Today," various photographs were displayed, reflecting Shusha's historical past, its mesmerizing nature, its appearance before and after the occupation, as well as the restoration and reconstruction work in the city. Each photo was accompanied by detailed commentary.

Particular interest was drawn by the collection "National Costumes of Karabakh from the 18th-19th Centuries," which mainly featured outfits of noble Karabakh women and men's costumes.

The event, attended by ambassadors from various countries, Hakim of Khiva Timur Davletov, Special Representative Aydin Karimov, Executive Director of the Reserve Tural Novruzov, Chief Advisor Elshad Iskenderov, and staff from the representative office and reserve, included a magnificent concert dedicated to Karabakh and Shusha. The concert, featuring honored and distinguished artists from Azerbaijan, was met with enthusiastic applause. The Azerbaijani State Dance Ensemble also performed national dances, once again showcasing the high level of culture on the world stage.

As of February 24, 2023, the cities of Shusha and Khiva became twin cities.
