House of M.M. Navvab

XIX century architectural monument of national importance. Inventory number: 372

This house belonged to Mir Mohsun Navvab - Azerbaijani scientist, poet, artist, astronomer, literary critic, sculptor, historian, calligrapher, and musicologist who lived and worked in the city of Shusha, a scientist with a medieval system of scientific knowledge in the middle of the 19th century back the days when capitalist relations were sprouting everywhere in Azerbaijan and a new way of thinking was emerging. It is located in Mamayi mehelle. It is an architectural monument of the 18th century. It was badly damaged during the years of occupation. There are plans to restore the house in the coming years.
