This was the house of the Azerbaijani writer Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli - public statesman, the first ambassador of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic to Ottoman Turkey. Under the resolution No. 211 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 7, 2019, the works of Chamanzaminli are included in the special list of protected masterpieces by the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is an architectural monument of the 19th century. It was a large two-story property built in the local architectural style. After the occupation of Shusha, it was heavily destroyed by Armenian terrorists. Currently, some ruins remain. After Shusha was freed from occupation, design works are in process to carry out conservation and restoration of the mansion.
